I went out to shop one last time this morning, spent more money than I planned to and had a great time. I'm back at the hotel now and debating whether to take a nap or eat lunch. Since we were awake at 3:30 a.m. this morning, I've already put in an eight hour day.

We went to a Chinese wedding yesterday. It was at the restaurant where we had supper with a couple from Sarah's office. Interesting evening.

Brandon got a promotion at work so after the first of the year, we'll be looking for houses in the Dayton Ohio area.

Just got back from a trip to Yu Gardens, the Bund, Nanjing Road, and the Peoples Square. Sarah did a great job of shopping, I didn't do as well, but I'd gotten a bunch on previous trips. It's been a fun trip, just one more day on my own and then we head back to Pittsburgh

I worked with an Oehler at Motorola. People used to drop her printouts on my desk, even though they said "loehler".

We had a fun dinner with Sara S. Nice long talk about everything. And she took us to a great restaurant which we never would have found otherwise.

Yes I definitely had more fun than Sarah did, but I did a bunch of shopping for both of us. I learned about fresh water pearls, jade, silk, double sided silk embroidery (this is amazing), and lots more. The only way the day could have been better is if Sarah had been with me. I can't wait to post pictures.

Made my first venture out into Shanghai on my own, found a family mart and bought some batteries for my camera. I've checked out the store in the hotel and the shopping center across the street (very pricey stores) this morning. Sarah may come back early today and if she doesn't have to spend her time making more slides we'll do something.
I'm signed up for an all day tour tomorrow around Shanghai. Hopefully once I've done that I'll brave a taxi and go do some shopping on my own Friday and Monday.

Yes, we are here. The flight was uneventful. The drive from the airport was beautiful at night. They light up the city with all kinds of colors. Went to bed at about 10:30 pm. Woke up at 5:00 this morning. And I found out they have already used some of my slide presentation because they ran out of material.....

They arrived in Shanghai and we miss Sarah... we need you mom..

We leave for Shanghai in about 12 hours, well we leave Pittsburgh then anyway. Our next flight leaves at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow from Detroit and arrives in Shanghai about 7:35 p.m. Tuesday night.
