I think the worksheet is easier than fitday.com. It took me 30 minutes to fill in my breakfast.

Did I mentoin they are bitesize mints!!

Does riding a bike on the treadmill count? Maybe that will make it a usable pace for Michele??

How many points for not counting points?

um...that worksheet is a lot of work. Might try fitday.com for logging all your meals and activities. Anyone who meets their goal is a winner then.

-5000 halloween candy
+1,000,000 run 5K with Tracy in the rain WITH cape on. Laugh at other runners.

Well I can't resist the temptation to get healthy via a competition. Here's my score from yesterday:
+50 Fruit
+50 Veggies
+345 Jogging 2 miles
+115 Walk in woods with girls

Total for day: 560

I think 3 peppermint patties counts as dessert. I'm very interested to hear other opinions on this though. I do not think the Propel sticks count as a full sports drink though. Isn't there a ton more sugar in Gatorade?

Eric and I are in trouble - our treadmill isn't working unless you can run at full speed the entire time and never stop. That will have to change if we want to compete.

I would count that pizza that we ate on Sunday as 'fast food'.
But I would also count that walk in the zoo as 2 hours of a slow walk.

So how many points does Halloween candy count for? I'm on my 3rd peppermint patty this morning. The bike ride in this morning was lame, I didn't even need the headlight, pshhh.

It's as safe as the brakes on a big wheel, and we all know kids have the safest toys.... I still remember going full steam on the big wheel down Grandma's driveway(feet off the pedals).
My method takes some specialty parts depending on your hub style and size, the easiest method is buying a track bike wheelset.. the cheapest ones I've found are: http://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_STOR20.cgi?Action=Details&ProdID=1618
I'll stick with my $10 dangerous mod. Patent pending

A wagner riding something unsafe? Preposterous!

I'm not convinced your method of fixing the gear is completely safe. When you come for a visit, you can show me what you did to the hub.

Was that ride in on a fix gear yet????

I just want to make sure I'm playing fair. I noticed that Gatorade or sports drink is minus points. I buy little Propel sticks, which are a Vitamin Enhanced Water Beverage Mix. They are 10 calories, 2g from sugar. It keeps me from purchasing sodas out of the vending machine. Are they negative points? Also, the serving size is half a packet. Who uses half a packet?

The bike ride into work this morning was fabulous, if only my student had showed up to take his test too.

Link to sheet was sent via email. If you did not get it and want to play, post or send me a note.
You can also subscribe to the sheet and get an email whenever it changes.

also, if you want to post a link to that spreadsheet, it would be great. I did not get the form ready in time. I'll set the link on the left.

I drove to the store to buy a tomato for my taco dinner just so I could get the +50. Then I thought Tracy might claim the tomato was a fruit, so I bought some carrots too. Now I'm wondering if I'm going to start a healthy habit, or just learn to hate carrots. It doesn't matter anyways because I needed to run to the store not drive, because AO just posted a marathon's worth of burnt calories.

+50 carrot/tomato.
+50 orange.
No soda, dessert, or exercise.

Sure I wrote mine down:

Frisbee 5 hours= 8*300*3.5*67.67/200= +2,842
Lemonade = -150
Dessert = -150
Vegetable = +50
Stretching = 2.5*10*67.67/200=+ 8

+50 the apple I am about to eat only because I am already in the hole

Nice Halloween pics. I forgot to turn my light on until late last evening so I had a lot of candy left over. Matthew took a bunch when he left today. I still have more than I need though.

Are you still doing the Christmas Eve Party?

mom
10/30/09 6:29 PM
Yeah, but I don't think they'd paint it the way I want it done.

Merel and I were discussing some ideas for things to do around here over the holidays so I've started a list on our Christmas Plans. Feel free to add other places you might want to go.
I've also got some ideas of craft projects to do for anyone interested so we'll probably have more ideas than time.
Oh yes, we're also expecting a 5k run and a cribbage tournament in there.

Last time I saw my nieces, they had an extraordinary amount of energy.

I liked Rita's idea for redoing the little bedroom next to the bathroom well enough that I went out and bought the paint today. Now I just have to come up with enough energy to get it painted.
