Sorry, it looks like the email parser doesn't like the email header somebody's phone is sending... I fixed one of the images, but I'm leaving the other broken for now to see if I can figure out what went wrong.

I just sent out emails with the names of the people you have for the gift exchange. Please send me a confirmation that you received it. That way I can double check that I sent everyone the correct names and be sure everyone received their names. Thanks.

That's funny because yesterday Betsy at Lincoln Gardens was talking about a seminar about teaching kids about the outdoors where they never went outside and one of the presenters couldn't do her presentation because she didn't have her slides. Betsy felt the best presenter talked without slides, but she said a lot of the people just put their heads down and ignored him because he didn't have pictures for them.

Ah, yes, that reminds me of the seminar I went to where the first half-hour was lost to "trying to fix the projector". Actually, I have been to more than a few seminars that have started like that. You'd think a seasoned speaker would know that the computer/projector setup never works on the first try. That particular seminar ended with the computer going dead and the speaker "improvising" with the powerpoint handouts we had anyway.

I made it into a phone conference twelve minutes late this morning only to discover 7 engineers and 2 consultants sitting idly while waiting for the project manager to get his computer sorted out. Instead of having to apologize for being late, I promptly started the meeting and we finished it before the computer was sorted.
Best part about this Monday is that it's Tuesday.

Please, read chapters 1-17 and have a 50 page report on my desk by Wednesday. You haven't missed much.

My two favorite quotes from today, "I was going to drop this class, but I missed the last day to drop a class. So I'm way behind in this class. What have I missed?" AND "I got kicked out of the honors program because I got in a huge huge fight with one of the administrators."
I love Mondays.

A little slow getting these up, but here's the pictures from the trip to San Francisco.
I thought you were making a Fixie out of it, pshhh a single speed all you need is a chain tool.

The house looks totally different now that Rita and Tena helped me fill it up. I spent all of Sunday organizing my home office. Only one room left to organize.

Looks like all your computer room needs is a wireless mouse & keyboard...and a bean-bag.

Doesn't matter where they get the electricity from. Just about any form of mass produced electrical energy is vastly more efficient than running your own motor.

Nice idea. I will have to put the boxes and packing paper on when I put my washer/dryer on. I need to wait until my waser and dryer are hooked up and I am sure that I can get rid of the old ones. When we went to put the washer in it was about an inch too long and the door to the hot water tank / furnace closet would not close. Also the dryer has a 4 prong plug but the outlet is for 3 prong.

I put my boxes on Craigslist as free, and had two people interested in them that day. Reusing trumps recycling.

Just finished mowing my lawn with my new electric lawnmower. I would say that I am doing my part in helping the environment, but I don't know where HH gets their power from. Plus the cardboard boxes and packing paper in the dinning room say otherwise.

In Lewistown's defense, the interviewer only talked to a person sitting on main street and another person sitting in a bar in the middle of the day. I'm pretty sure you'd get the same stories of outdoor hygiene and drunken accidents if they had been in New York.

Packing paper + flour and water = super cool halloween costume. Tracy and Sarah better bring it.

this story is great. The movie on the Marque is the Hangover, the 18 year old brags about being good at beer pong, the one-leg man talks about getting hit by a bus when he was so drunk. There must not be too much to do in MT.

Managed to walk a 5k this morning, Adrienne and Rita ran it. It was a fun way to start the day. Adrienne has a luncheon meeting so Rita and I are going out to lunch and then shopping. Afterwards we'll christen Adrienne's new kitchen with some baking. It was something in the electronics of the washer that had messed up. I love the machine when it's working correctly, but they do seem to have a lot of problems.

Well in honor of Firefox recognizing the Microsoft Framework Assistant Plug-in as a security threat and disabling it for me, I thought I'd post my latest computer pest. (A drive-by exploit was recently found for IE8, which also applied to the MFA Plug-in).
The last Skype update did a hidden install of a "browser highlighter" add-on for eBay. The add-on was annoying and highlighting random garbage. On top of that crap, the add-on has the "uninstall" feature disabled. So I went to the mozilla/extensions folder and deleted it. Annoying.
