yes, oddly enough, I felt like trick-or-treating last night. Spring has turned into Fall this year.

Eagle Tire has a set of snow tires on the way for me. Without motorized transport until Wednesday. Barely avoided the rain this morning on the bicycle. Did not realize the entire trip was uphill. Looking forward to the ride home. Just wish the lunch caterers had not left at 12:30.

I got a surprise birthday party on Friday! 13 mile run on Saturday...couldn't do much after that. Today was pancakes in the park and a bowling birthday. The kids are in bed already...trying to get them to sleep at a decent hour.

drove from VA to NY today. Once I got north of Harrisburg had a scenic river to drive beside most of the rest of the trip.

so long as the IKEA furniture stays together.
We bought 350 sq ft. of laminate flooring. Say good-bye to the gross carpet smell!

Yay, I have internet in my new room! Now I can post messages
again. It's still a big mess, but once I am done putting the
IKEA furniture together I'll post some pictures.

That reminds me, AO we found a restaurant that has a creme brulee here. It's on top of a vanilla cheesecake with a vanilla wafer crust, but that just makes it all the better.
The creme brulee is on top, not the restaurant.
Vanilla.

Even if you budget for less, the first paycheck is always less than you think it should be.
Happy Birthday, Sarah. Hope all your expectations are fulfilled.

Well, it looks like both Daniela and Thomas will have teachers which were chosen 2 weeks before the start of the school year. Thomas' teacher has 28 years of kindergarten experience, so I think that will go well. She is saying they will learn some German and some Spanish. Great.
I still don't know who Dani's teacher is going to be, but she doesn't start until Wednesday, so they have a few more days to find a replacement.
Love you Mommy, Thanks!

Thomas starts Kindergarten today. He's going for one whole hour. Then half day tomorrow.
I'm without internet at home for the next week and a half. Had to return Merel's cable modem to cancel her service and it takes two weeks for them to bring it back. I read somewhere that cable companies are rated one of the lowest rated industries for customer service. Even lower than the IRS.

This must be my food inspiration month. Tonight we watched a video on making bread at Herb Guild and three of the ladies had made the breads that were shown. They were wonderful. I'm thinking I need to do some baking so I may bring something new to Eric's party this weekend.

Sounds like a good group to keep together so they don't annoy the ones who actually come to class. Let them all flounder alone together.

I split my class into groups to discuss their groups projects. I had grouped them by major, and what I learned today is that University Studies majors don't come to class.
I skipped seeing Julie & Julia for fear of wanting to cook something and since I will be living in a hotel for the forseeable future that will just not work well. I saw the Time Traveler's Wife instead. Pretty interesting and I enjoyed not being able to guess the end or thinking 1/2 way through the movie that this is just like 5 other movies already out there.
