Good to be back in Mt. Pulaski. All of the stuff is hauled in from the car. Tomorrow is soon enough to sort it out and put some of it away. Most of it will just get hauled back out into the car at the end of next week for the trip west.

Saw Rita Scanavino in church today. Her face is healing nicely, all cancer cells were removed with this last surgery and she is doing well. Her mom is out at Vonderlieth recovering from her surgery.

It is also very popular in IN although it is mostly morrells they hunt for. My former boss paid $80 for two lbs so they must be fairly rare.

I recently learned that mushroom hunting is also popular in some areas of WI and IL. It's not only the Czech with the humorous sporting events.

This was a mushroom Merel found. It's apparently the national sport in the Czech Republic to hunt for mushrooms. Again, not joking. So Merel's mother cooked this up in a soup. Quite tasty, and we're still alive.
