Lounging by the poolside in Sheridan, WY. We found a local hotel that I'd give an A rating to (especially for the price). If you are ever in Sheridan, stop at the Holiday Lodge.
WI Ohlers and Frank are off the the beach shortly. I'm heading to downtown Racine to check out their used book store. I'll meet them at the beach for lunch, sitting in the shade.

Tuesday Daniela had the mole on her arm removed. Last night she was crying because she "really missed it". Awww!
So, then we're having the conversation about moles and she asked me if I missed the one I had remove.
"not really".
Did I have any other ones?
"Yes, but it is not as big as yours"
Then she starts crying again "I don't HAVE one, buaaahhhhh!"

Ok, if you come in earlier Chris Ray is holding your birthday party in Elgin on that Saturday. All other Ohlers invited to that as well,
except Rita who kept him off her guest list for good reason.

Sandy and I are in the Denver area now. We stopped in Oakley, KS to see the World's Largest Prairie Dog (pics to follow, because it did happen). We spent last night with the Klemps in Broomfield (Frank's cousin Stacey...they have a daughter a year younger than Sandy). They took us down to Dinosaur Ridge to see the Dinosaur Freeway, very cool. Tonight we are going up to Longmont to see Christell (my roommate from Purdue). Then on to Fort Collins to see Purdue graduate cohorts.
So to catch up....Happy Birthday RO. Welcome back R&BJ! Looking forward to pictures.

Frank and I are off to Dickson Mounds (museum), then we plan to stop at Emiquon (Nature Conservancy) in the evening if it's not too hot. I caved last night and put the air conditioner in the den. We both slept in there last night. That's the first time I've used the air conditioner for a couple of years, and I'm happy to report it worked fine.

Happy Birthday Roman!
Here's the news I missed out over the weekend: The local "tea party tax protestation" party leader was discovered to have over $10,000 of taxes annulled due to bankruptcy. The party is going to have a tax protest parade on the 4th, at city expense. To protest this, another party has formed and wanting to be all inclusive has called themselves the Green Coalition of Gay Loggers for Jesus while admitting to having neither homosexuals nor loggers in their party yet. They will be having a counter-protest while covering the city's costs for the counter-protest.

Ha! That's Daniela's card, so I still have mine. We can still read! Viva la libertad!
It turned out to be a really nice Sunday Veronica, but we wouldn't have gotten to idlewild on Father's day anyway. Lots of hours at the pool though. Hope you got your work done.

Today's adventure: Frankie skunked me in his first game of cribbage.
Sandy found a small black zippered pouch in her backpack. Anyone want to claim it?

We had a GREAT time at the wedding and it was great seeing everyone. We hope ours can be as fun.
We had three days of major planning and purchased a whole lotta booze & wine. Come thirsty.
See you September!

Yeah, I saw that too.
Oh, I should change my mower oil too.
And can someone jump the battery in my van today?
I had to take the borrowed car to work. I guess I should buy some jumper cables.
basketball camp and baseball game for Lauren yesterday. Payton was in charge of the sandwich making for dinner during our 15 minutes at home
during the transition. Hockey for dad after bedtime. It was the geezer league, but I still took a slapshot off my big toe that hurt like hell
for ten minutes. Another baseball game tonight. Someone needs to change my mower oil soon. Volunteers?

Merel called around 5:00 PM yesterday... she had taken the kids on a walk to get some ice cream, and some ominous clouds were moving in quickly. On the drive back we were met with so much hail I pulled over under a tree to protect the truck, and the rain came down so fast there was an inch or two of flowing water running down the streets.

5:30 a.m. siren call. I laid in bed wishing someone would stop it until Frankie and Sandy came in the bedroom and it finally sank in that it was the storm siren. We spent about an hour in the basement. Looks nice out now, supposed to be hot and humid, very humid after all the rain. Frankie chose going to a museum today. Air conditioning, sounds good.

Lounging in Village C on the OK State University campus. Hot & humid...informative teaching conference, though. Went here for dinner.
Hope the kids are behaving for grandma.
Mom you were right. It took about 9 hours. Thanks for the contract number this morning!
Ok. Not much planned for this weekend. It could be fun though...maybe the wave pool. Maybe we go to idlewild? kennywood? sandcastle? or the zoo or kid's museum? OR we can go to the SR pool and "pokemon park" as usual. If you stay we'll make something up.
