Ten billion kajillion points for mom and whomever else may have helped for coming home from the hospital to find all of the laundry clean and folded on the bed. That was so very wonderful.

And for anyone following: 2-4 day old babies have to switch on their livers to take over for what the mother's placenta had been doing, otherwise bilirubin builds up (breakdown from red blood cells). Most babies have a mild form, but Tycho's numbers got high enough to warrant sitting around under UV lights, which helps break down the bilirubin before the liver catches up. Once the lights had done their magic, there's no more treatment ever needed for that. And Tycho's numbers dropped enough the doctor said we need not even bother with a follow-up. So happy parents again.

checkup tomorrow, just back to regular
checkups. Going home now.

Of course doctor also says, that's what
you get for jumping on the bed.

Tycho is jaundiced so it's back to the hospital for Nathaniel, Merel and him. He's under lights for somewhere from 12 to 48 hours. Hoping for the lower number working, but will see.
