That sounds delicious. Veronica and I ate the slow-cooker pulled-pork and pineapple I made. It was a croc-pot full, so I will be eating it all week.

To encourage a celebratory dinner next week, I'll reveal last night's new found hit recipe: oven fried chicken. We used green beans instead of scallions, and it came out tremendous. The breading let the chicken cook nice and tender, and the hot dipping sauce muted by the yogurt just really sealed the deal. Mashed potatoes or rice might just have made it perfect.

ah, the campus news service....they haven't caught up yet. The award was given back in June right before I officially became full professor. I suppose that word of my becoming interim department head won't catch up with them for another year.

Wait wait wait... I thought Tracy got promoted to full professor last fall. Sorry, if I'm bringing up something I'm not supposed to, but why does it still say associate?
The aim was intentional, he just didn't stop until you closed your mouth - a bit of dinner humor for the other guests, as payment for the free saki. As for the recipe: chicken, coke and soy sauce. Let me know how that one goes. And the guy got egg in his lap because his girlfriend let go of his pocket right as the egg dropped. Just a bit of well-timed confusion.

Better work on their aim if they want to keep their customers.

Hey Merel and I just went to a hibachi grill last weekend. I got sprayed with the saki, and Merel had to settle for getting a face full of coke with soy sauce. Could have been worse. The guy next to me got a raw egg broken in his lap.
