small addendum to Frank's post...first in the dept. I think Dr. Stocks has the honor of being the first in the College. Still an accomplishment.

I think it's worth noting that, to my understanding, Taod is the first woman
to achieve this rank in the College of Agriculture in its 120 year history.

Georgia Tech is accepting MOOC courses for credit and failing at administering the courses. And you thought your lectures at UofI of 1200 students was impersonal, try 41,000 classmates.
Nobody wants to pay for education, not realizing, of course, that someone has to do work to make it "free". Several state schools are no longer majority funded by the states they are in .

Leave it to California to pass unfunded mandates. The classes are full because they cut the budget. Ha! At what point do you stop calling it a 'state school'?

I have to say that dinner looks better than what Daniela prepared for herself tonight. When I suggested some things and called her back she said she had opened some tuna and mixed some bacon in it, but it didn't taste very good. haha! learning to "cook" is fun.

Just finished the first workout! I did much more than I thought I could lifting weights! And I had a great gym full of people cheering me on and helping me. So fun!
