Just talked to Nathaniel on Skype and he seems relatively pain free. He says the pain when swallowing is a lot less than expected and his back seems to be fine.

My bum hurts because I fell getting off the lift. But anyway, Daniela and Thomas had a fun day at ski school and then we took them on a green run one time. They both did really well. Nicolas had more fun drinking hot chocolate and watching TV. He did try awhile, but couldn't get the "V" going.

get a magic bullet and then you can make an individual smoothie whenever you want. I keep the cups full of the fruits/veggies in freezer then just have to pull them out in the morning, add the milk and yogurt or the juice and mix. The consistency is that of a med thick to thick milk shake. I do prefer Soy milk to cow milk. I typically use a fruit variety, but banana and a strong berry is good, blueberry and peaches are good. Here are a couple of interesting ones:
carrot-pineapple 3/4 cup fresh pineapple 1/2 cup ice, 1/3 cup oj, 1/4 cup chopped carrots, and 1/2 banana (I left the banana out of this one)
spinach grape and coconut - 1 cup seedless green grapes, 1 cup packed baby spinance 1/2 cup ice, and 1/4 cup coconut milk -- I didn't like the coconut but really like this with soy. Also, I use all the fruits/veggies frozen so I leave ice out.
kale apple - 3/4 cup chopped kale (ribs and thick stems removed), 1 small stalk celery (chopped), 1/2 banana, 1/2 cup apple juice, 1/2 cup ice, 1 tablespoon lemon juice - I probably left the celery, ice, and banana out of this one. it is good, but not something I would have every morning.
spiced pumpkin - 1 cup ice, 1/2 cup whole milk, 1/3 cup pure pumpkin puree, 1 tablespoon honey, and a pinch of ground nutmeg.
Let me know if you want more. They get a bit odder from there.

Uncle nto, I heard that it is good to have girl scout cookies in the house after a back surgery, and it just so happens I'm selling girl scout cookies. I have plenty of space on the order form so no need to rush.

Steam your veggies for 15 minutes, put in blender or food processer. Puree. Put into ice cube trays. Use as needed. Oh wait, that's baby food.
