Thanks for the pictures MvdH. I've got a guide book that I have been reading and also about.com's China Travel site -- the author is from Mt. Pulaski and lives in Shanghai. A friend who was in China a couple of years ago has also given me tips about packing warm clothes.

Shanghai is very beautiful, I very much enjoyed the old European part of the city. I remember we had an architectural guidebook for that part of the city, that was very helpful. If you want a preview take a look at pictures 88 - 215, those were all taken in Shanghai.

I guess it's really going to happen. Sarah sent me an itinerary. We leave for Shanghai November 8th and return November 17th. I'm excited, and a little nervous. I've been reading a whole lot about does and don'ts and what to see and do there.
