After contacting everyone, it look like July works best for everyone. Mark down July 15th-22nd (Friday to Friday) as dates for the family reunion. That gives us: a)one weekend to focus on, b) the ability for people to choose their travel dates to reflect time off work, and c)a day or two to recuperate after all the fun/drama/water balloon fights. These exact dates may change a day or two based on the location we choose.
Also note the a few birthdays/anniversaries fall in this time frame, close to this time frame. Please let me know if you want to plan a special outing or adventure.
Next on the agenda is choosing a location. If you have any suggestions, please post them on trip-o-rama or if you have trouble posting, please email or call me to talk about suggestions. Right now, the only suggestions is (the YMCA in Denver)[http://www.denverymca.org/]. Please keep in mind the following when considering locations: a) ease of travel for all family members, b) entertainment options for kids, adults, and adults who act like kids, and c) lodging options for those on a budget and those who need a bed & quiet.
