Anyone read "(The Death and Life of American Journalism)[http://www.amazon.com/Death-Life-American-Journalism-Revolution/dp/1568586051]"?
Had an interesting discussion tonight with someone who mentioned it recommended that journalism should be government subsidized, even going so far to claim it was subsidized in early American history. Found it interesting because I didn't know that, and I've quit reading most American news sites, though I find the BBC seems to be relatively worthwhile still.
