1 carrot 1 orange again... mixing it up today, brought an apple and a carrot. The caffeine withdrawal last night was not pleasant. Then again, maybe it was just sleep deprivation. Still have not walked farther than from here to the car. complete

How many points do I get for standing in the train for 20 minutes? The train was shorter than usual so there weren't enough places to sit, there almost wasn't enough space to stand either. I stood between four people and had to lean on each according to the direction the train was swaying in at that moment. assigned

Fantastic idea on the bike on treadmill. Now if I could figure out how to hook the treadmill back up... assigned

I think we already established that our idea of "desserts" is different when you said fruit for dessert is cheap. unknown
SAK_ID #320182H0000000NTO                                     11/2/09 4:51 PM
That is precisely why the drinks are per-drink, not per-day. Let me see you see 6 desserts in a day. unknown

What I realized with the way the points are figured is that once you've eaten the dessert (Halloween candy included), you've already lost the points, so you might as well eat 5 desserts. And eat dessert for dinner. unknown

well, I guess I have been caught cheating already with the pizza and forgot about the halloween candy. unknown

I think the worksheet is easier than fitday.com. It took me 30 minutes to fill in my breakfast. unknown

Did I mentoin they are bitesize mints!! Does riding a bike on the treadmill count? Maybe that will make it a usable pace for Michele?? unknown

How many points for not counting points? unknown
SAK_ID #320242H000000ESSO                                     11/2/09 2:15 PM
um...that worksheet is a lot of work. Might try fitday.com for logging all your meals and activities. Anyone who meets their goal is a winner then.

Well I can't resist the temptation to get healthy via a competition. Here's my score from yesterday: +50 Fruit +50 Veggies +345 Jogging 2 miles +115 Walk in woods with girls Total for day: 560 I think 3 peppermint patties counts as dessert. I'm very interested to hear other opinions on this though. I do not think the Propel sticks count as a full sports drink though. Isn't there a ton more sugar in Gatorade? Eric and I are in trouble - our treadmill isn't working unless you can run at full speed the entire time and never stop. That will have to change if we want to compete. unknown

I would count that pizza that we ate on Sunday as 'fast food'. But I would also count that walk in the zoo as 2 hours of a slow walk. unknown

So how many points does Halloween candy count for? I'm on my 3rd peppermint patty this morning. The bike ride in this morning was lame, I didn't even need the headlight, pshhh. unknown

It's as safe as the brakes on a big wheel, and we all know kids have the safest toys.... I still remember going full steam on the big wheel down Grandma's driveway(feet off the pedals). My method takes some specialty parts depending on your hub style and size, the easiest method is buying a track bike wheelset.. the cheapest ones I've found are: http://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_STOR20.cgi?Action=Details&ProdID=1618 I'll stick with my $10 dangerous mod. Patent pending unknown

I'm not convinced your method of fixing the gear is completely safe. When you come for a visit, you can show me what you did to the hub. unknown
