CLINTON — Two suspects were arrested in connection with an armed robbery Wednesday morning at the Kenney Bank and Trust.
DeWitt County Chief Deputy Mike Walker said that due to the state of the investigation, the names of the individuals arrested Wednesday were not being released. Charges were not issued publicly Thursday.
A masked man displayed a gun at the bank and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
He fled in a bank employee’s vehicle, heading west on Illinois 54 toward Logan County. That vehicle has since been recovered.
Word around town is these two are suspects in the Chestnut bank robbery in September.
