Nice day out with Aunt Diane and Uncle Barry checking out the New Salem area. It included a stop at Clayville. Wow! I'm impressed with all they've done to it. Some of the buildings are in better shape than when we used to go out there. The spring festival is May 19th and 20th. Anyone interested in going? complete

in my mind, foreign travel has always involved a discrete bandoleer money belt. no amount of crime statistics or reason are going to take that opportunity away from me. E. unknown

Our next pro-tip for travel to Europe: Check with your bank to see if you can set up an account that has a card that can withdraw money in a foreign country (euros and crowns). Put only the money you expect to spend in this account. This should help minimize exchange rate costs and fraud risk. I haven't tried this personally yet, but this is the advice I have gotten from most everyone. I would expect some delay in receiving the card via mail once the account is setup. unknown

So, I had a meeting with some Japanese engineers a few times. I did the card thing right the first time without knowing it. I was also surprised at one meeting when a couple of them kept whispering and giggling during the meeting. Usually they are very much reserved and formal. unknown
