Some really good music here in Mt. Pulaski today. Unfortunately it was in the 90's this afternoon so the crowds were small, good crowd on the square this evening, but not very many at the Christian Church Family Life Center to hear the Dixieland Jazz group, and they were fantastic.

It's a girls' week here! We just sent the boys to Oregon for Boy Scout camp. Planning on grilling out with some friends and walking up to Burke Park to watch the fireworks. Spent $80 on home fireworks...this should be a fun 4th!

The girls and Eric made slime this morning and now we are getting ready to go to a stage production of Charlotte's Web. Fun 4th weekend in Bellaire!

My thoughts were running similarly, with craft time sharing
with game time.
Patsy just called to say the air-conditioned tent was awful
warm for the reunion this evening. They had about 500
people in it so that is probably part of it. The next two
nights are fewer people so they shouldn't be as warm.
Matthew just headed up to see who was on the square, I
haven't made it up yet. Connie and I are going out tomorrow
and plan to end the day listening to the music on the
square.

I'm thinking that the best beach time is early morning or late afternoon. At least that's the way it was in Cancun. Beach in the morning, lunch, nap (or card games) then pool in the evening. Just a thought. I'm sure we will figure it out when we get there.
Hope everyone is off on their 4th weekend already. We went to the pool and I watched Nicolas swim with no floatie and underwater. He's growing up way too fast.

I have sometimes found it creepy to wake up at 4:00 in the morning and have someone standing by my bed quietly, but this morning I took it to new extremes and actually woke up and screamed. I did recover quickly with a kind, "oh, hey Nicolas".
