It's snowing in Utrecht which means two things: one- it finally feels like Christmas is coming soon and two- the public transportation doesn't function anymore; all trains run through Utrecht, so if Utrecht's out the whole trainsystem is out. A trip that usually takes 20 minutes took me an hour and a trip that usually takes 2,5 hours took me 4 hours, I had to do each trip twice, so I have been sitting in trains all day. Luckily I had my books with me so I got lots of studying done. The conductors were also scaring us by telling us that I would not be able to get home tonight because of the weather (only 2 inches by the way). I made it though. Now I have to finish packing and hope I get to my exam on time tomorrow.
See you all so very soon! Can't wait!

NTO and Merel - the girls are begging to get out of school early and miss their assembly to get an earlier start on the trip to Mt. Pulaski. It is even more exciting when the kids understand timeframes and are excited too! We will keep you posted on the estimated arrival time in Chicago.

6 bottles of NY wine
Air matress
Painters drop cloth
Sleeping bag
Boots
The interesting thing about posting on relho is that you've informed us all, and no one at the same time.
V, when do you anticipate an arrival at my place? I might need to stock the fridge with more than yogurt and bananas.

So it looks like the earliest I will be leaving NY is Thursday at 9 AM - had to switch my plates and didn't figure in a problem with the inspection. Especially since VA passed this problem through each inspection.

Yes, Daniela's CCD class had the BEST singers. The boys were really "hamming it up".

I just walked the 5 k route. The hill on the last block of Vine and first of Cooke is a little rough for us flatlanders, I know it's just a little bump to the rest of you. It took me an hour to walk -- since Adrienne just told me she ran a 21 min. 5 K I guess she can run it three times while I'm walking it once.

I'm guessing that Sandy would love to see Squeakqual but FrankT is going to take a pass.

Better? The quality testing department fell down on this one.
Good news is the insurance covers the tire and rim, bad news it'll take a couple of days to get them. I took the car in here in town. I knew they'd take longer, but since Saturn is closed I wasn't sure where else to go.
I have beds all made, just need to run the vacuum and I'll be ready for people to stay here. Just one more present to have delivered and I'll be done with gifts too. Of course, that one was supposed to be delivered last week.
