what can I make with blue painter's tape, two dozen egg cartons, and an old prom dress? Google don't fail me now!

this story is great. The movie on the Marque is the Hangover, the 18 year old brags about being good at beer pong, the one-leg man talks about getting hit by a bus when he was so drunk. There must not be too much to do in MT.

Managed to walk a 5k this morning, Adrienne and Rita ran it. It was a fun way to start the day. Adrienne has a luncheon meeting so Rita and I are going out to lunch and then shopping. Afterwards we'll christen Adrienne's new kitchen with some baking. It was something in the electronics of the washer that had messed up. I love the machine when it's working correctly, but they do seem to have a lot of problems.

Well in honor of Firefox recognizing the Microsoft Framework Assistant Plug-in as a security threat and disabling it for me, I thought I'd post my latest computer pest. (A drive-by exploit was recently found for IE8, which also applied to the MFA Plug-in).
The last Skype update did a hidden install of a "browser highlighter" add-on for eBay. The add-on was annoying and highlighting random garbage. On top of that crap, the add-on has the "uninstall" feature disabled. So I went to the mozilla/extensions folder and deleted it. Annoying.

I got an e-mail yesterday that said this:
"Students must be born on or before September 11, 1995, to be eligible for the first session:"
That would mean Frankie is eligible.
'the first session' is driver's ed.

Well Bassett has been here and the boiler is running so I should have some heat soon. The washer repairman is working on the machine so hopefully I can wash my clothes soon too. It's just cold here, thank goodness no snow or hail. Only a few leaves have fallen so I still have the raking to look forward too.

We had hail here this morning. It collected on our patio furniture. Maybe that's a sign it's time to put the cushions in the basement. Lauren is home sick again today but definitely feeling a bit better.

There is snow here today so I guess I don't need to buy a mower and mow my lawn tomorrow. I was also waiting for all the leaves to fall off the tree knowing that I was going to have to rake them up, but they are still up there covered in snow now.

I'm back in Mt. Pulaski. It's not quite as cold down here as it was in Racine and it's not actually raining, just overcast. I'll be happy to have my furnace turned on tomorrow though and to get my washing machine working again. AO: I'll be up sometime tomorrow evening to see you.

Back in PA today. Cold, rainy, but glad to be home.
The kids had too much fun with Daddy. Chic-fil-a, balloons, stuffed animals? how can Mommy compete with that? laundry, dishes and general housekeeping does not seem to impress them.
kudos and snaps...back to work now.

FYI, I bought tickets to Milwaukee for December 19th and leaving January 3rd. Merel has tickets for the 20th and the 1st to O'Hare, so it looks like I should have a day on the tail end of that trip to hang out with Wisconsin Ohlers if they're around.
The rest of the details aren't really there yet, though broomball does appear to be reserved for December 26th, 5-7pm in Bloomington.

Hey Doughers, feel like a lunch party on Saturday? Merel asked about setting up Skype on the TV to chat around 1:00 PM, and I thought I could throw a lunch in there as well. That is if you're around. I'll even supply the computer adapter and mouse.
But now I'm thinking you said you were busy Saturday, so Sunday could work too. Whichever.

Another great day in San Francisco. The first pictures was my Seafood Ciappino down at Fisherman's Wharf. The second was Gianna getting really bored with being in a restaurant and the last was the sea lions down at Pier 39. We also went to Coit Tower, visited the Italian area where Sandy used to live and walked through China Town. We've figured out there's a couple of fabric stores and another book store about a mile from here. I'm debating if I have the energy left to walk up there tonight or if I'll wait until morning to do it. A lot of it is uphill so I'm leaning towards waiting til tomorrow.
