Beautiful day here in central Illinois, sunny in the 50's. Pat Schmidt and I spent the day shopping. We checked out two new stores in Springfield -- Scheel's and Parsons. Doughers have you been to the Scheel's in Billings? It definitely looked like a store you would like, lots of hunting and camping equipment, also lots of sports equipment, plus a ferris wheel, games, and huge fish tank.
Parson's is a pilot store, sort of a department store, some things were amazingly expensive at it, but some of the stuff was extremely inexpensive.

Flying back this Saturday with a 4 hr layover in MSP, so hopefully a good walking break there, though the flight here wasn't so bad, so hopefully much the same going back. Another consultation on Tuesday and hopefully I'll have a date for the surgery then, as well as know more specifics about which exact procedures they will use, as well as recovery time, etc. Eric you were right about checking on prior-authorization with the insurance company, though the surgeon's office said they will take care of all of that.
And thanks everyone for your responses, I got a lot more than I expected, and they are all very helpful and have helped allay most of my concerns.

River Falls is June 26-29 plus or minus...will be bringing Sandy and possibly Frankie along.

Oh, keep me posted on those River Falls dates. I'm also thinking about organizing a marathon relay in April. It would be in Champaign, IL. It's the Illinois Marathon. For those interested, you would only have to run 1/4 of 26.2 miles.

Going for the scary monster look all at once. The biopsy from
December is still in the healing stage, had some more spots
frozen off this morning so I have scabs and red spots all over
my face.
NO & MDH: Sorry I missed both of your new year's calls. I
was at Patsy's for the first and just was slow getting to the
phone on the second. Hope you're new year is wonderful!
