Update from Dayton. The house is up and running, the new gas line to the stove has been approved for use, cable TV is working, internet service is available. Still the garage to unpack, that can wait for warmer weather. Rita has hung some pictures on existing nails, final placements can be decided on later, but the place looks more like a home.
Only serious loss was the banana plants, though one may be sending up a new shoot. No one has fallen on all of the ice out front and we're hoping for melting weather tomorrow. Dax has escaped three times, but not far enough to get lost. I think he heard the threat not to chase after him today because today's escape was just to the swing set. He made it up the climbing tower with remarkable ease.
AO: No trips to Egypt anytime soon please.

Last semester one of my colleagues had approached me about teaching a class on public utility and regulatory economics in Egypt. I'm starting to think that's not going to happen.

Sandymom - I appreciate your son for his willingness to make home made valentines. Lots of tracing and cutting flowers. I ran out of steam after 20. I'm sure your interest in crafting had at least a small influence in this whole project/ordeal.

I'm not at work, but I'm working on cleaning the house before my mother-in-law gets here. Igor is a good helper... my kids, not so much, but they did try in between the whining.

I am also at work today. Turns out the Journal of Regulatory Economics does not accept submission in pdf format. However, once you have submitted your document they will convert it to pdf format for you. What a frustrating 2 hrs.

Just got home from going to work at 8am Friday and could really use a hug :( I am going to settle for a hot shower and a coma under my feather comforter until morning when I have to get up and go back.
