Last day of "school" for Thomas and Nicolas!
Daniela is at a friend's house. Had her first sleepover last night. She couldn't wait for Daddy to leave when he dropped her off.

Window is still OK. Think it may be the fuel pump. We'll be at the Nissan door waiting for them to open. Until then the kids are enjoying the waterslide.
Luckily there is an Enterprise down the road if things go from bad to worse.

It doesn't really matter, just seeing if you were aware of discussions around that phrase.
The other term I've seen discussed a lot on reddit is "ad hominem". That one's funnier though, because its usage has changed three times, so the people arguing for the "formal" usage are actually arguing for a non-original usage.
Oh, and there's a lot of discussions on whether something is truly "irony" or not. Apparently that word is heavily misused, which for some ironic reason leads me to the odd pleasure of intentionally using the word entirely incorrectly.

Writers who were not taught logic in school — evidently a great many — will think that 'to beg a question' means 'to give rise to a question.' In that they are like the multitude of writers who have appropriated technical but dimly understood language. A parameter, for example, is 'a constant, with variable values, used as a referent for determining other variables.' If you are a mathematician, that definition from Webster's New World College Dictionary probably means something to you. If you are not a mathematician, you are probably using parameter to mean a boundary or limit or guideline, or perhaps nothing in particular. People do write this way. Some even talk this way. Eventually, loose applications of technical terms to different contexts find their way into the dictionary, some embedding themselves in the language. That is fine. But in the interval, anyone who wishes to write precisely will be cautious.
